I've got the same problem with low framerates. It's the combination of motherboard and GeForce.
(see the readme.txt: "problems with some i820 and GA-7IX")
But the 5.x-detonators aren't a solution, as mentioned in the readme. I've got:
Athlon-700 + Gigabyte 7IX + Elsa Erazor X
and at any resolution the game isn't smooth. : I play the game on a
