Please help! Crashing...

My machine:

Intel Celeron 400MHz
128MB PC100 SDRAM
8MB Picasso i740 AGP videocard
Aureal 3D soundcard
... and enough of harddisk space

With the original videocard driver, I see only shades of pink in the game screen.

When I loaded the latest driver, I could not even get into another screen apart from the main menu screen. My system hangs the moment I click on any button in the main menu. And yes, I have ensured that the color-depth of my machine is set at 16 bits but it doesn't help.

Please help.
