NFS5 with GeFORCE

whenever in the menu screens it just locks up...after a few, sometimes it'll work, but if i try to change resolution i get a lock up...anybody else have this problem.

3D Prophet DDR using 3.77 drivers (also tried 5.14)
SB Live
Pentium II 450
192 Meg of RAM
Trinity 400 Motherboard
