I'm using 7.0A at the moment, damn I wish I'd read this earlier I wiped my system a couple of days ago and could have tried 7.0!!

Oh well it says in the online play demo readme that the Viper 2 isn't supported and that it's the drivers fault. Perhaps the drivers aren't perfectly compatible with 7a as I've had a few odd problems with other games too.
