Trouble with normandie track in NFS5 PORSCHE

The problem i have is when racing on the normandie track the game will just freeze up and be unplayable at this point, so then i have to reboot the computer to play again. Does anyone else have this problem.

Computer specs:
pentium 3 650
annihilator pro ddr
soundbalster live
