Thanks for the idea, it doesn't jam permenantly, just while in the race. As soon as I restart the race it clears up, and if I drive carefully so not to lift any of the wheels off the ground - all be it driving slowly - I can keep it working fine. I can't see this FF is intended to be like this, it's pretty crap if it is, it MUST be another EA error.
