What's up with the missing cars?

I just bought NFS5 along with a few of my friends and went to set up
some mulitplayer action. In multiplayer, we noted that many of the
cars you can select are not included with the game:
it says "you must download this car." What is up with that? Is there
somewhere you can download the cars? It's a bit irritating to
shell out the green for the game only to find many major models
missing (959, 928 GTS, etc.) --RIscchip
