These codes let you drive the civilian cars.
Type them in any of the menu screens. NFS2 has different codes.

| PIONEER | Gives you the powerful Pioneer engine |

| ROADRAGE | Crashes a car in front of you if you honk |
| KCJONES | Rainbow car and horizon (3DFX-only) |
| RAIN | To drive in the rain in the non-3DFX version (works only in some tracks) |
| MAD | Produces cows instead of tire smoke! (3DFX-only) |
| RUSHHOUR | To get a lot of traffic |
| CHASE | If youdare overtake an opponent car, and the car catches you it will try to ram you or knock you out of the road. |
| SLOT | Enables the 'slot car' cheat. Make sure you have arcade mode on, type SLOT in the main menu and then go to car selection and choose the slot car. While in slot car mode the horn will give you extra speed. |
Hold 'N' down while loading a race, you'll get a night race! (non-3DFX only)

To drive from a top-down view, hold right shift and 'b' while loading a race.
To drive from any of the nine camera views press right shift and 'c' instead of 'b'.
This cheat works only in Mediterraneo or Mystic Peaks. Put on the reverse gear and hit an object (like souvenir stands or crates) with the speed of 30 kmh/20 mph or greater and toot your horn. You should now be able to go through the invisible walls. This cheat will lose its effect after a while.

In the middle of the track, just after the tunnel, there is a shortcut on your right (hole in the wooden fence).
Pacific Spirit
In the beginning of the track, when you're driving by the sea (sea is on your right), there is parking lot. Go through the parking area and then continue along the grass until you hit the road again.
